The Wild King

Arc 2

Part 1

The Wild King Rises

Author; Drustan Leo Alvarez

The Wild King Rises, on the Eastern Edge of The Foothills near The Gran Forest, The Mountains of The Roughlands dotting the North and South.

He Rises surrounded by a burnt, mangled and torn landscape, stretching almost to The Gran Forest before fading before its edge.

The corpses and ashes of his compatriots scattered on the surrounding mangled landscape.

While rising he keeps his eyes locked The Elder Wizard only a few meters away, a focused yet seemingly calm rage burning in his eyes as they fade back to brown human eyes.

Grey stone dust blows of his hair revealing to now be shortly trimmed almost to the skin on the sides, with an almost straight crew cut leaning a little forward.

The Wild King stands in a large crater his fingers bent like claws and as the last speck of stone dust blows from his hair, his hands become fists as pushes off the ground with his legs toward The Elders Wizard.

The Elder Wizard readies his staff to swing at The Wild King, and just before The Wild King reaches striking distance he lands just out of reach before jumping into the sky.

As he jumps high into the sky using his pure physical prowess, he almost reaches the clouds.

Just before stalling, he summons a massive gale of wind to push him down toward The Elder Wizard even faster.

The Wild King straightens his legs like a plank his arms bent at his sides his hands balled into fists, as he plummets down like a missile towards The Elder Wizard.

The Elder Wizard astonishes quickly gets shocked back into reality as he sees The Wild King plummeting down towards him at speeds he's never seen.

The Elder Wizard raises his staff to the sky with one hand and creates 6 arcane magical shields layered hovering over each other.

The Wild King drops like missile breaking through each and every arcane magical shield on contact before reaching The Elder Wizard.

His bare feet slam against The Elder Wizards lower chest pushing him into the earth creating a small crater.

The Elder Wizard still alive attempts to use magic and he realizes his staff has been knocked away as he turns his head looking at just when he realized he had to use hand magic, The Wild King's huge left fist caked in lightning plummets toward his face.

The Lightning Punch dislodges his jaw and breaks it's joint connecting to his skull while fracturing the part of the jaw near it.

Stone forms around The Elder Wizard's wrists and knees as The Wild King straddles his upper chest his knees also pinning down The Elder Wizards arms, as The Wild King sends his Huge right fist covered in fire down towards The Elder Wizards face.

The Elder Wizard desperately tries to break the constraints on his legs but after every crack is made they are filled with more stone.

The Wild King grabs the collar The Elder Wizard Ekrin's robe and delivers several consecutive fire punches as he raises and lowers The Elder Wizard's head by his collar, in sync with each blow.

The Wild Kings Get's off of The Elder Wizard and walks away.

The Elder Wizard charges his body with Mana and he combines it with his strength to break the constraints of stone, and stands, just before The Elder Wizard Ekrin Takes action as his wounds heal on his face.....

The Wild King snaps his fingers and a huge pillar of fire rises from around The Elder Wizard incinerating him on contact as it raises into the sky before dispersing into embers, leaving nothing behind but a very small pile of ash that silently blows away in a light breeze of wind.

The Wild King smiles while walking away as he thinks of The Elder Wizard's last moments.

.....

The Wild King looks around for his friend's corpses as sorrow fills his heart and lump forms in his throat.

He manages to find the corpses of Raider and Jose but Kelwyn, and Bella's corpses are nowhere to be found.

He gathers what he can of their belongings then carries their corpses to a little outside the crater where he transformed.

He uses his power over earth to raise a giant stone Obelisk the size of a skyscraper, with 4 large rectangular stone coffins at the bottom on each side, a giant half archway extending from the four sides of the obelisk hanging over the four stone coffins.

He manages to find a piece of Kelwyn's bow and Bella's sword hilt.

He opens one of the stone coffins placing Raider's body into it along with his sword before ceiling it and using his earth powers to carve Raider's Clan Symbol, The Axe in a Wolf-Skull.

He carves Raider Son of Bludcra, and below it, he carves The Clan of Raging Wolves.

He carves the clans motto underneath its name, "The Warpath Is Our Way."

He places Jose's corpse into a stone coffin with his sword then seals it.

He carves their Clan Symbol into it, The Roaring Lion's Head, with a Hand, Reaching into its Mouth.

He carves Jose Son of Oso, and below it, he carves, The Clan of Fearless Men.

Underneath he carves the clan's motto, "Bravery And Honour Over Fear."

He places Kelwyn's Bow Remnant into a stone coffin and seals it.

He carves Kelwyn's clan symbol, The Large Greatsword Through A Human Skull.

He carves below the symbol, Kelwyn Son of Utheren, and below it, he carves, The Clan of Executioners.

Below he carves their clan's motto, "We Reign Over Death."

He places Bella's sword hilt into the last stone coffin and seals it.

He carves Bella's Clan symbol, The Mages Staff in a Daunt Cats Mouth.

Below it, he carves Bella Daughter of Renaldo, underneath The Mageheart Clan.

He carves their Clan Motto, "Mana is our Breath, Knowledge Our Strength."

He walks away and stands in front of each side carving in the two original Esva and Gaela Tribes languages on each side of the Obelisk in Giant Letters, each language on the opposite side where the same language is carved.

He writes, "Here lies Sir Raider, Sir Jose, Sir Kelwyn, and Dame Bella These Great Knights served their nation well for many years, their bonds were strong, their laughter true, their loyalty great.

They died in service to their nation in a battle they could not win.

May they rest in peace."

Drustan takes a knee and says a prayer to The Elder God Jah, "The Elder God Jah, my compatriots had their faults, I admit that. Though they did not know you, nor are they citizens of The Kingdom of Light, but please have mercy on their spirits... I do not wish for them to enter The Realm of The False King..... So please have mercy on their spirits so they might not suffer such a fate that awaits in that Realm. Please. Asha"

Drustan The Wild King then fell to both knees, wept and screamed in grief.

For a long time.........

After crying he wiped his tears his mind calm he picked up a bag of horse jerky that somehow survived the battle and headed toward The Gran Forest as anger boiled within him into a furious rage.

Later That Day

As The Wild King Drustan approached the village of Fattoria on the dirt road within The Gran Forest, he stopped and called forth an eagle from his spirit with the skill The King's Subject Storage.

There was a gap in his King's Oversight skill, with it he could only see the everything in his Kingdom and where his subjects were, as it is right now only the Wilderness is his Kingdom, he couldn't see in populated area's yet.

He sends the eagle forth, as it flys over the village currently out of sight, he uses the skill Beast Sight, to take a look at the village from above.

He sees roughly 16 Ghoul soldiers, two of them enter The Village Head's House, while about half guard the perimeter and the rest harass the villagers within, two ghoul soldiers guard the entrance to the village.

To prevent hostages Drustan sends three Gran Bears to the entrance of the village from the surrounding woods of The Gran Forest, while he had Gran Wolves (Wolves as big as bears native only to The Gran Forest) discreetly kill the Ghouls guarding the perimeter.

As the 3 Gran Bears approach the village the two ghoul soldiers guarding the entrance, start making a ruckus and call out the rest of the ghoul soldiers, while Drustan's Gran wolves stealthily circle around to the front to surround the ghouls.

The Ghouls gather at the open entrance to Fattoria that severely lacks a gate only a shambled short wood fence surrounding it.

The Ghouls draw their swords, while 2 of the ghouls still remain in The Village Head's House.

The 14 ghouls charge at the 3 Gran Bear bigger than grizzlies, as they begin to clash the Gran Wolves start to leak out of the surrounding foliage and trees as they encircle the Ghoul Soldiers.

First, one then two then three then five ghoul soldiers are dispatched by The Wild King's subjects leaving only three ghoul soldiers standing that are quickly dispatched as Drustan approaches the battlefield from far off.

The two ghouls in The Village Head's House hear the sound of battle and rush to the entrance to see 14 dead ghouls soldiers laying on the ground with three Gran Bears and a pack of Gran Wolves stand over them with only a few shallow wounds.

Ghoul Captain, "What the #### is this. Animals aren't this organized."

Ghoul Vice Captain, "I don't Know. (He draws his sword.) But we best get ready for battle."

The Vice Captain raises his sword as the group of wild animals part, Drustan The Wild King walking through the gap from behind them.

The Wild King keeps walking toward the two ghouls while saying, "This village is mine now. Don't even try running."

The Vice Captain swings his steel longsword at The Wild King, The Wild King catches it barehanded and squeezes crushing the steel blade beneath his mighty grip.

The Vice Captain's face fills with despair, as Drustan takes the steel longsword from the ghoul's hands lifts it towards his face and takes a big bite out of the handle.

A big chunk of the steel longsword now in his mouth he chews it before spitting it back out at the ground in front of them.

Drustan The Wild King says humorously, "Eh too much iron."

He then grin's at his own joke as he watches the ghouls tremble in fear.

He reaches forth his hand toward the vice-captain as Drustan's hand curls the vice-captain freezes.

Drustan's hand completely curls into a fist as the vice-captain becomes frozen solid, and Drustan punches the vice-captains face square on shattering his head sending a shock wave down into his body shattering it as well.

The Ghoul Captain stutters out the words, "Wh-who are a-are you."

The Wild King Drustan replies, "Oh wouldn't you like to know. Heh heh heh."

The Wild King grabs the large ghoul captain by his throat and lifts him off the ground as he strangles him then feel a burst of anger from his memories of what The Elder Wizard did and brakes the ghoul captains neck.

The human's villagers come out of their houses and huts as they gather in front of Drustan The Wild King.

Drustan The Wild King becomes solemn and says, "Don't worry I'm your King now, you'll be treated well under my reign."
